Monarch Butterfly Recovery Hope

While the monarch butterfly population continues spiraling down, St. Louis citizens are creating gardens to help repopulate the species. Read up on this National Wildlife Federation blog post about the incredible event that inspired people in St. Louis to aid these beautiful insects. According to the post, the monarch butterfly population has decreased from one billion to 56 million in just a twenty-year time span. That is a sad statistic that can and should be fixed, so here’s to hoping that the efforts to get those numbers back up are successful. We want to see the monarch butterfly thrive once again!
